Julian Shinn expressed his thanks to everyone who voted for him and his commitment to work hard for all residents, as he shared his post-election thoughts with the press.
"I’m humbled and delighted to be elected as councillor for St Nicolas, by such a big majority and with such an amazing turnout.
I’m really looking forward to working alongside my Green Party colleague, Councillor Gabe Crisp, to build kinder, safer, and more sustainable communities in St Nicolas & Adur."
Councillors Shinn and Crisp will be working together to represent the St Nicolas and bring a unique and challenging Green voice to the council's decision-making.
"I want to thank the people who voted for me. Thank you for sharing our Green vision for the future. Thank you for believing in change. Thank you for choosing to hope.
And for the people who didn’t vote for me, I promise to work hard as your local councillor, to help you individually whenever I can, and to listen to your concerns in these challenging times.
I also want to say a massive thank you to my fellow Green Party members without whose endless hard work, this election would not have been won. There are too many to name, you know who you are, and this victory is for us all."
